AstroTarotChannel May 2013

Lets get it ooonnnnnn! Welcome to Beltane! Or should I just say “Happy Mayday?!”…May in Latin means “Maia – the great one”
Mayday originated in ancient Rome as a way to honor spring fertility rites.
In the Middle Ages the traditions of naming a Queen of May led to colourful processions of pretty girls dancing round a huge phalic maypole, alive with vibrant blooms and lots of streamers! Pretty girls and Maypoles? Brings to mind the roots of poledancing, don’t you think?
Young and old went “A-Maying” (Getting it on to Marvin Gaye in the woods at night) and then the Beltane babes arrived nine months later!
Beltane is the Fire Festival. Full of passion, inspiration and creation. The word originates from the Celtic God ‘Bel’, meaning ‘bright one’ and the Gaelic word ‘teine’ meaning fire. Together they make ‘Bright Fire’. Traditionally bonfires are lit to honour the Sun and encourage the support of Bel and the Sun’s light to nurture the emerging future harvest and protect the community.
This May is exceptionally powerful what with the solar eclipse in Taurus on 10th, and the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on 25th. We had a rehersal with this two weeks ago with the partial eclipse in Scorpio, but now we really are beginning. Eclipses involve the Sun (conscious) and Moon (sub conscious) coming together, heralding awakening – its deep and gradual, and if you want to know more about your process then look at where the eclipse is heralding this in your birthchart.
For instance if you are Taurus or Saittarius you can see this period is likely to very transformative in how you see yourself. But all of us have Sagittarius or Taurus somewhere in our chart, whether it be home, work or some other area.
The only way to really gain more understanding is as always, with hindsight.
Give sometime to review your journey from now at the next solar eclipse back in Scorpio on November 3rd, if you really wish to get iluminated.
Generally speaking there is a lot of energy all year in Taurus and Scorpio, bringing to light deep processes of transformation in order to progress in the world. There is A LOT going on behind the scenes astrologically, and if you feel tired, vulnerable, shaky, do not worry, be gentle with yourself, know its all being taken care of, its all in the mix….

Watch this month’s AstroTarot Youtube Reading for more details on riding the wave this month
Looking closer still Mercury joins the Sun, Mars and Venus in Taurus also on Mayday. Beautiful, sensual passionate words may flow until we get a more logical feel when it moves into Gemini on 21st.
On the 5th this energy is likely to be enhanced by a beautiful flowing energy when Mars trines Pluto, deep, powerful, transformational, but in a grounded sense.
May 7th-8th Mars in Taurus conjuncts Chiron in Pisces, similar to the bull mistaking the blood of Jesus for a red flag. Keep this in mind and don’t enter any China shops!
Venus enters Gemini on 9th heralding a social (but gossipy) time, watch your tounge for the next month! Great for insightful flashes, but can be a bit fickle, wait to see what lasts. This steps up when Venus squares Uranus in Pisces, when sudden judgments could cause confusion and upsets in close partnerships, if this happens look past the happening into the spiritual lesson, with Uranus in Pisces it should be a big one!
Again May 18th we have a similar enery with a Mercury, Neptune square, if you are confused, unsure of what is going on, best to maybe hold your tounge for a bit, rather than bring others into the confusion, we do also have some lovely conjunctions and sextiles that day, involving Venus, Pluto and Uranus, so perhaps any confusion may only last the day and the night may provide us the right circumstances and calmness.
The Sun enters Gemini on 20th – herading the beginning of a very sociable month ahead, great for gaining knowedge and ideas. But we also have a Uranus/Pluto square that day, clash of the titans! This could last a while as we have Mercury in Gemini squaring Chiron in Pisces for 21st and 22nd, watch those words! Sticks and stones will break my bones, and words will always hurt me.
Over the lunar eclipse on 25th, things start to calm down. We are not so fraught, and bridges are re-built, bigger and stronger than before, as Venus visits Mercury and Jupiter from 24th -27th. This is the time when if you speak from the heart your words will not only heal wounds, but open hearts and minds as well. On 28th Mercury enters Cancer, compounding this caring communication further, but watch for an attachments. With Mars ending the month in Gemini, all that talk may well be turning into some action!

AstroTarotChannel April 2013

So here we are in April. To be honest I am not a fan of new year. With all the drunken crimbo celebrations I find it hard to feel the sacredness of the old and new cross over. There are a couple of times a year I really feel it, and March/April is one of them. This April in particular, I am really feeling that ‘Get up, Stand up, stand up for your rights” energy.
It seems we are all about to pop after a heck of a lot of repression that has been erupting at times since last November, but now it feels like its all about to really rock.  It feels like we have been living with the threat of a volcanic eruption in and around us for quite a few months now, and now with the actual final eruption there is a sense of relief. A sense that living with the threat has become much worse than the actual eruption.

A place of getting past caring can be a very empowering place indeed. Why do you think monks practiced lying on beds of nails? Through intense suffering we can finally find release, transcend samsara and find ourselves in nirvana…

I think this is why this time of year is so apt like that. Having the movement of the planets from Pisces to Aries charts that very happening, going from victimhood and maytrdom, working through the karma, developing spiritually and finally knowing who we are and what we must to to break out of co-dependency and stand firm in our own skins.

When I did the  youtube reading  for this month the first two weeks of April felt like the final eruptions, and the third week feels like Nirvana!  This could be due to the fact that the full moon in Libra on 27th March felt very powerful in illuminating the places where we may be out of balance in our relationship dynamics, and that we need the two weeks in between that and the new moon in Aries to really look and see what we need to do to go forward in a much healthier fashion.
Therefore the first two weeks feel very powerful for change, particularly in our relationships, and its likely to be a bit like spagetti junction as we may feel we are going round in circles until we finally arrive. That arrival seems to be heralded by the new moon in Aries on 10th, but still it may take a few days to feel it. Pluto stations in Capricorn in 12th – so the lord of transformation takes a break, maybe then we start to feel the change of gear.

Communication gets loud and active from 14th when Mercury enters Aries, but thankfully with the Sun, Mars and Venus all entering Taurus in the third week it should begin to feel a lot more grounded and constructive, perhaps even nurturing! This is the time to mend any bridges that may have got burnt in the first two weeks – but make sure you use new designs and materials and you aren’t tempted to go back to the old ways that will no longer sustain.

In the fourth week we have the years first eclipse. In Scorpio. There has been a lot of deep karmic processes going on in Scorpio – a lot of transformation o a very, very deep level. With this eclipse we really start to see the beginning of that very deep change start to take hold.

A powerful month. Work with it wisely and you should come out a lot more realised, and much happier!!!!

Wishing you an awesome april.

One love

March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path. Khalil Gibran ...

March. As I sit here, and think of March I get energy downloads pouring through my head. Yes, its a powerful month.

On the 1st day of March I drove through Daffodils ( Not like a tank - they have edged the roads :).

On the 2nd i saw the first buds of blossom outside Starbucks on Neal's Street of all places - when I live in the country!

On the 3rd I write to you about the signs of new life coming out of the darkness... Yes March is a powerful time of transition, the old and new crossing over.

How many signs of new life are starting to come through for you? If you are struggling to see the new buds do not worry. Perhaps you are still in the end part of Winter.

March takes us into the time of Pisces. The last sign of the zodiac, Pisces wishes to escape the wheel of Samsara ( the zodiac / life / karma) and transcend into Nirvana, merging with the source of absolute divinity. Once that happens, the new life comes in strong (in Aries). But that passage can be fast, but that is unusual. Usually it feels painfully slow. Just like the passage of The Hanged Man ( in the Tarot / life / karma) whose zodiac association is yes - Pisces

I have observed this pattern in my life (and sometimes others) from November to March, on numerous occasions over the years. The most significant pattern for me was the literal birth and death passage of my daughter from 24th November 1997 to March 17th 1998 -  so close to Mothers day.

At her passing she was likened to Blossom that never turned into an apple, destined to stay beautiful and pure, never to grow old and get rotten. And for sure that happened. I was telling a friend the other day about what a pure experience that was, to love her whole and openheartedly, knowing that I would loose her, but knowing that if I didn't I would live to regret it.

Did my life become new after that?

How could it not?

Since November 1998 my practice has been to -

1) Love like I have never been hurt
2) Honour and commit fully to each and every experience, no matter how hard
3) Look at what it has come to teach me
4) Validate that teaching in walking my talk
5) Never think why me, but think why not me?
6) Feel gratitude for every magical amazing experience.
7) Remember that life is hear to be lived - fully.
8) Validate the gift that has been given.
9) Let go of fighting with reality.
10) Just decide to do all I can to the best of my ability.

Can you think of a life changing time and the top ten things you learnt from it?

Are you still applying those practices to your life today?

What passage are you going through now?

What is it teaching you?

AstroTarotChannel March 2013

Phew! So if you are reading this then you lived through the roller-coaster that was February - Congratulations!

Mercury is still retrograde until the 17th and it looks like it goes direct with a firework finale!

But we do have the energies gathering nicely for progression from the 11th, when we see the New Moon in Pisces and Mars entering Aries on 12th. Mars being action and Aries being it's ruler we should start feeling all fired up to progress and in a really positive creative way. This means that any finale from Mercury retrograde is only there to clear the decks so we can go forward unencumbered.

As the month progresses we seem to be getting our confidence back, our friendships/relationships back on track and all the stronger for any upheavals, all the way through we seem to have a great steady progression for practicality, finances and security, although it might take you til the end of the month to realise it!

Full Moon in Libra  on 27th ends the month with a highlight on relationships and balance and harmony, all together now - ahhhhhhhh :)

Remember yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift - that's why they call it the present -
I am not sure who wrote this quote - some say Joan Rivers, others say Eleanor Roosevelt, or Winnie The Pooh!

A Recipe for a Graceful life...

Erm.... I think I might just be feeling Imbolc :)
Look what just popped out!...

1) Weigh up all you have.

2) Get real about what you can do, with what you have and where you are.

3) Bless what you have, and honour the creative alchemical process you are about to go through.

4) Start slowly, take a deep breath in and smell the flour, allow yourself to express whatever that experience sparks in you.

5) Rise up to the call of yeastoday.

6) Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe out apply your intention through your kneed - aligned for the highest good of all only.

7) Now trust that your daily bread is all well in your hands, that you know exactly what to do to make it rise.

8) Feel the chaos in creation, the pressure, the mixing up, the mess, allow yourself to get deep into it, enjoy getting your hands REALLY dirty.

9) Now clear the sticky mess of the past from your hands - gently. Analysing closely for any hangers on, and release - knowing that it's all just part of the journey.

10) Transfer your first process to a container, and place it in an incubator.

11) Set your intention of alchemy through heat and time.

12) Go and do something else, trusting the incubator knows exactly what to do (No peeking now - unless you want it to flop?).

13) Come back at the allotted time, and remove your first process from the incubator, seeing the transformation and allowing it time to stand, cool off and set. Go slowly, take a deep breath and...

14) Enjoy the aroma of your brand new transformation. Savour the moment.

15) Decorate with a generous, loving portion of Gentle sprinkles.

16) Share your creation with the ones you love, feel the deep inner nurturing in shared connection.

17) Next time throw away the recipe book and get creative, think outside the book, knowing you have all this within.

Strength in vulnerability – to roll over and resign your soft underbelly to the universe, that to me is ….. true strength. Only then can you look up, and see the wonder and the miracle of the stars…

We start the month with Jupiter finally going direct in Gemini, giving this month a feeling of expansion and going forward much more easily with communication – well for a while – until Mercury revs up for its first retrograde of the year. So we have a window in the first week of February, a green light go ahead of full steam ahead. See more on the youtube Tarot reading for this month.
After 8th you may begin to feel Mercury preparing for its retrograde which actually kicks in on 23rd for three weeks. As Mercury is going retro through pisces, it has a deeper even more spiritual twist to it this time. You can expect even more de ja vu’s, and weird and wonderful dreams that have secret hidden messages from the past, than in the usual Mercury retrograde.
A new moon in Aquarius on the 10th feel’s like there may be something to celebrate – a free, happy social time with perhaps some long awaited news coming through for the highest good of humanity. This new moon also heralds in the year of the black water snake, This year is about working hard, being tenacious, determined and focussed on your target, but you will also need to use your intuition and think outside of the box…
Saturn turns retro in Scorpio on 19th – going back over the recent deep processes I think we have all been feeling – this time with more detachment and clearer processing.
A full Moon in Virgo on 25th may mean with all this Mercurical and retrograde energy we could get a little bit too over analytical, paranoid and self critical. Try to do something constructive to make you feel better, Virgo is all about health, service and duty. Pay attention to your body, home or work to stay grounded.
